Critical Role is an online show of voice actors playing Dungeons & Dragons. I love it and portraits are my jam, so I illustrated some characters from the show in gouache.

Beauregard Lionett is Marisha Ray’s character and I love this brazen monk a lot, in painting her I focussed on getting the attitude right.

Caduceus Clay is Taliesin Jaffe’s character and between the pastel aesthetic and the show’s specific ‘cow-person’ interpretation of a firbolg I had to paint him next.

Essek Thelyss is one of Matthew Mercer’s NPC’s, who slowly got more layers as the main characters interacted with him more. There was a revelation in the story about him that made me want to depict him.
